Get out your diaries and your red marker because the 2010 AIHL schedule is finally here.  The Great news is that the Ice Dogs will be playing 12 home games this year as opposed to the 11 like last year which means more hockey for everyone!

Out of these 12 games, 9 of them are Saturday night games so for the hockey players and sporting folk who normally can’t make it to a Sunday night game can now get to more Ice Dogs action this year.

The Dogs start out the season with their first game away in Melbourne May 1st at the new Docklands Ice Arena.  This will be a memorable event as the Ice Dogs will be a part of the first ever AIHL game at this venue.

After another weekend on the road in May the Ice Dogs will then have their first 2 home games in Liverpool in a Double Home Opener Weekend as we face the Penrith Bears on Saturday May 15th followed by the Melbourne Ice on the Sunday May 16th.

Ice Dogs Memberships should  be on sale by March, which will come with access to all 12 home games at a saving, reserved seating and more.  In 2010, the Ice Dogs are working furiously to bring you a better supporter experience online, at the games and a better on ice product.  We hope you are as excited as we are.

    Go Doggies
    Looking forward to the year
Hope we crush the Ice in their New venue.

  3. Scott Stephenson Says:

    Hey Dan,

I know it is a while til a home game, but the brightside is we hit the road straight away with a full healthy roster (knock on wood) which gives us a better chance at getting points, building some momentum coming into our first two home games. It also gives us a full two weeks after we return from Mexico with the Australian Team to promote the home opening weekend and jam pack the stands and get the place rocking to start 2010.

For an earlier fix of hockey too we have the Newcastle game in round 2 in Newcastle on the Sunday May 9th I believe.

  5. Ian Pearse Says:

Will be making a huge effort to get to all Saturday games and trying hard to get at least one Sunday one in.

Will also be trying hard to get some more new people to the game along as well as those who game to a couple last season.

Sincerely wish the team and staff well in this season and hope we bring the cup home to Liverpool.

Thanks Scott about fix information the fix from NHL has been great as well

Bet you guys wish you could earn some of their paychecks.

    Cheers

    Ian

    Haha Hey Boys,

Working on Season memberships to be on sale during March. Just trying to get paypal up and running and also confirm prices and what we can offer. Our first home game is actually round 3 but it is our 5th game of the season. Lots of hockey crammed in between May and August and 9 Saturday Home Games this year which is a bonus. Would love the support up in Newy round 2 if you guys can make it.

Also trying to work on home game highlights this year which is what Ice Dogs TV is all about! May will be here before we know it!

  11. JOHNNO22 Says:

HEY SCOTTY,JUST TALKIN TO DAN TONIGHT, DO YOU GUYS GO BY COACH TO THE AWAY GAMES AND IF SO DO YOU GUYS OFFER SUPPORTERS SEATS ON THE COACH,IM SURE NEWCASTLE FANS COME DOWN WITH THE TEAM ON THEIR AWAY GAMES,COULD BE SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT FOR US,I KNOW A FEW PPL WOULD LOVE TO GO TO SOME AWAY GAMES LIKE CANBERRA OR NEWEY. PENRITH IS ONLY A STONE THROW AWAY FOR MOST OF “THE DOG POUND”. IF ANY OTHER SUPPORTERS FEEL THEY WOULD LIKE TO GO TO SOME AWAY GAMES,LEAVE A BLOG AND MAYBE SOMETHING COULD BE ARRANGED.IF LAST RESORT I COULD POSSIBLY ARRANGE A MINI BUS OR SOMETHING BUT THERE WOULD BE A FEW CONDITIONS, LIKE YOU WOULD HAVE TO GO MENTAL AT THE GAME FOR THE DOGS ETC ETC. SCOTTY LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK?

  12. DanSON14 Says:

Top idea for supporters and the will get a rude shock in canberra and newcastle if we strolled in with our icedog jerseys on…

  13. Scott Stephenson Says:

Hey Johnno will see if I can organise anything. Sometimes we do Canberra by coach. Our first roadie to Canberra however the team might go by cars in order to get home earlier to get ready for the Newcastle clash the following day. Will see how we go. We have done a coach with supporters in the past over the years. It all depends on the schedule and how things are going. If we get one organised will be in touch with ya bout it right away

  14. JOHNNO22 Says:

righto thanx scotty, just something to think about but get ready in canberra!whose in?

  15. JOHNNO22 Says:

hey can anyone tell us why the central coast rhinos arent in the comp again? or are they still tied up in that world cup thing from last year, please shed some light!

  16. DanSON14 Says:

    JOHNNO
im in you can count on that.
that norwest comp was shithouse worst hockey i have seen ever.
are the icedogs going to get their own stadium.

  17. Tim Rosenbach Says:
