Canberra Knights come to town this weekend
This Saturday night the BANQ Sydney Ice Dogs will be looking to build off last Sundays performance at home against the Adelaide Adrenaline where they lost in a narrow shootout after coming back from a 2-0 deficit.
Derek Campbell and Anthony Wilson were responsible for the two goals from the Ice Dogs and notable performances go out to Ice Dogs defenceman Shannon McGregor and Tomas Manco.
The Canberra Knights only sit a few points ahead on the table in front of the Ice Dogs so the home side will be looking to steal some points head to head and stir up the opposition.
Make sure you wear a jumper, bring a blanket and the family and cheer on your Ice Dogs this Saturday night 5pm at the LCC Sports Complex as they take on the Canberra Knights.

Fantastic, gutsy, hunger, passionate, intense, exciting and I’m sure there are many more superlatives to describe the effort and the DEFEAT of the Knights. We could all feel it in the air and it seemed like the boys could too, Good to see the heads didn’t drop after going behind. It was great to see the boys acknowledging the crowd ad having some fun with it, Matty! awesome goal and jump into the nets with the fans…Made my night. Boy did that beer, bourbon, tequila taste good afterward. Feeling thirsty Doggies so let’s make this the start of the Dogs resurgence.

spewin i could not hang around to taste the sweet taste of victory after at the club,on antibiotics and the mixture of the two could have made me do some irrational things,like nude victory dances around the fountain or covering my body in players autographs………..ooh daniel i bet that hurt when your mum had to get out the scrubbing brush..lol

we should think of getting someone to be a MASCOT for the ice dogs… reving up the crowd giving them heaps and what not just like at the rugby league games or perhaps get some cheerleaders up and running I heard through the grapevine that the NORTHSTARS have their own cheerleaders

Now on a serious note it would be good to have a Mascot run around show what the opposition what the ICE DOGS are capable of, preferably an adult that can stand up to the opposition

minxta was looking at that last week,there is a website http://www.buycostumes.com that has spike the bulldog in grey,which look friggin tops.what we need to do is get onto management and try to fund this as its not cheap,i think 500 u.s.maybe sponsors could be asked,money raised or something but i would put my hand up as well to give it a go. whack a sponsored jersey on it and away we go….would we be the first club to do it?
i was even thinking of finding one for hire and turn up in it to see how it went
